Verde Vista Breaks Ground

The $20 million multifamily development will have 257-unit apartment complex on a 15-acre hillside offering spectacular views of Beaucatcher Mountain in East Asheville. The city approved the Riverbend Marketplace development in 2002, which includes a Walmart and several other retail stores. The project is being developed by Asheville-based Six Oaks, which has owned the land since 2004 through a joint venture with Davis Property Group.

The project will provide a diverse mix of unit options ranging from one bedroom to three bedrooms in traditional walk up, three- and four-story buildings. Amenities will include: Resort Style Pool with Cabana, Outdoor Kitchen and stacked stone outdoor fireplace, state of the art fitness center, clubhouse with cyber lounge, stone fireplace, coffee bar and common area with flat screen TV's. Verde Vista will have an on-site car wash, detached garages, electric car charge station, dog park, poolside fitness and yoga classes, and AT&T Uverse. Verde Vista will be ready for move in late spring 2012.

Located just north of I-240 and Fairview Road interchange off of Bleachery Boulevard and River Ford Parkway, south of the Swannanoa River. It is inside of the City of Asheville and is located approximately 3 miles southeast of the central business district of Asheville.
